All consultations are by appointment and are available between 8.30am and 6.00pm on weekdays. In line with government guidelines a proportion of our appointments can only be booked on the day. This reduces waiting times but it does also mean that, particularly for acute or new problems, you may have to see another doctor if the GP you usually see is busy or unavailable.
When you phone or call at the desk you will usually be asked a few simple questions by the receptionist. These are not meant to be intrusive. Rather, they help us to help you by directing you to the appropriate health professional as quickly as possible. If no appointments are available, and you feel your problem needs same day attention, you will go through a triage system which involves doctor assessment. Your co-operation will be appreciated.
To book a GP or nurse appointment by phone, please dial 897600. Remember, one appointment is for one patient only.
Enhanced Access – Appointments Outside of Practice Hours
Extra appointments are being provided in the evening and at weekends across Doncaster. GP surgeries are working together in groups called Primary Care Networks (PCNs). From October 2022 these networks of surgeries will offer evening and weekend appointments at a variety of locations in the local area. These appointments are open to all registered patients.
When using the service, you will not see your usual doctor, but the improved access will be more flexible and adaptable to the needs of our patients offering a range of appointments at a convenient time and place.
You can book your appointment by contacting our Reception staff who will be able to see all 'Enhanced Access' appointments available to you. You can also book an appointment via the NHS App.
Our clinicians will be able to access your healthcare record to ensure they can offer the right treatment for you, and prescribe medication or refer you for further treatment if necessary.
Online Appointments and Prescription Ordering
We encourage patients to register for our online services. This enables you to book appointments online and to re-order repeat prescriptions. The service will be available 24/7 and we hope that patients who find it difficult to phone us during working hours will find the new service to be particularly useful.
Patients who want to use this service will need to complete a short form which is available from our reception desk.
